St. Lawrence College (SLC) and the Boys and Girls Club Kingston (B&GCK) are partnering to offer fun and unique programs in soccer and basketball, combining mentoring by SLC Vikings players with the High-Five accredited skills development B&GCK programming. The new programs are for kids of all skill levels and various ages.

SLC Varsity athletes will be periodically leading participants through drills, teamwork challenges, games and scrimmages during the weekend programs.

“We’re excited for this opportunity to have our players help kids develop athletic skills, and to raise awareness in the community about SLC and varsity athletics,” said Kevin Biggs, Manager of Athletics and Student Engagement with SLC.

“Future Vikings is a great way for children in Kingston to get an awesome organized sports league experience in a safe and welcoming environment,” says Jeff Helsby, Senior Program Manager, Development and Training. “We’re looking forward to working with SLC Athletics and St. Lawrence College on such a fun and accessible project for kids of any skill level.”

Space is limited! The first ten-week program starts September 28 and ends December 7, 2019. (No program on Thanksgiving weekend.) Cost is 100$ per participant (application for subsidy available upon request.)
