Union United Football Club is a Gambian football club based in Serrekunda. The club was founded in 1970 and plays in the GFA Division One League, the second tier of Gambian football.
History
Union United was founded in 1970 by a group of young men from Serrekunda. The club quickly rose through the ranks of Gambian football and won its first league title in 1977. Union United has also won the Gambian FA Cup on three occasions, in 1978, 1980, and 1981.
The club's most successful period was in the 1980s, when it won four league titles and three FA Cups. Union United also reached the finals of the CAF Cup Winners' Cup in 1981, but lost to Tunisian side Club Africain.
The club has struggled in recent years and has not won a league title since 1997. However, Union United is still one of the most popular clubs in Gambia and has a large following of fans.
Stadium
Union United plays its home matches at the Serrekunda East Mini Stadium. The stadium has a capacity of 5,000 spectators.
