01/2012: Serie A-Ligist SSC Neapel hat den 17-jährigen Stürmer und ungarischen Junioren-Nationalspieler Soma Novothny vom ungarischen Club FC Veszprem mit der Option auf einen Kauf bis Sommer des Jahres ausgeliehen.

2011: Soma Novothny ist U-18 Nationalspieler für Ungarn (Hungary under 18 football national team). 

2011: Soma Novothny ist U-19 Nationalspieler für Ungarn (Hungary under 19 football national team). 

2015: Soma Novothny ist U-21 Nationalspieler für Ungarn (Hungary under 21 football national team). 

23.05.2018: Soma Novothny wird mit Ujpest FC durch einen 2-2 n.V. (5-4 n.E) Erfolg über Puskas Akademia FC ungarischer Pokalsieger 2017/2018. 

07.09.2020: Der vereinslose ungarische Mittelstürmer Soma Novothny (26), zuletzt für Újpest FC tätig, hat beim Zweitligisten VfL Bochum einen Zweijahresvertrag bis zum 30.06.2022 unterzeichnet.

03.01.2022: Der 27-jährige ungarische Stürmer Soma Novothny vom VfL Bochum wechselt mit mit sofortiger Wirkung nach Zypern zu Anorthosis Famagusta.
